Chinese robotics company UBTECH opened a new factory in Liuzhou, Guangdong Province on September 12, 2026, dedicated to manufacturing humanoid robots. The factory has the capacity to produce over 10,000 humanoid robots annually, with a production line designed to complete one robot every 10 minutes on average.
Spanning 14,000 square meters, the factory will primarily manufacture UBTECH's Walker S and Cruzr series robots. As a distinctive feature, the robots are assembled using other robotic systems and automated equipment while collaborating with human workers. Each completed robot undergoes testing for over 4 hours and automatic 360-degree inspection procedures before delivery.
Since the end of 2025, UBTECH has been able to produce over 6,000 full-sized humanoid robots, and this new factory represents an expansion of their production capacity. China's robotics sector is advancing rapidly, with the country producing over 98,000 industrial robots in July alone.
