Qualcomm has introduced two new smartphone chips with a strong emphasis on AI performance, highlighting that its flagship chip can run a 30-billion-parameter mixture-of-expert (MoE) AI model directly on the device.
The new chips are designed to significantly boost on-device AI processing, allowing smartphones to handle AI features like chatbots, image generation, and real-time translation without relying on cloud servers. Qualcomm says this approach improves speed, responsiveness, and battery efficiency for AI-driven tasks.
These chips are expected to power upcoming models from popular smartphone brands such as Xiaomi, Oppo, and vivo — all of which have a strong presence and loyal user base in Myanmar's smartphone market.
As a result, Myanmar consumers may soon see more affordable phones equipped with advanced AI capabilities, bringing powerful on-device intelligence to a wider range of budget and mid-range devices in the near future.
