After months of leaks and rumors, Samsung officially unveiled the new Galaxy Z Flip8 foldable phone, along with the latest Galaxy Z series devices, at the Unpacked event held in London. Samsung's new Z Flip8 foldable phone comes with a new chipset and One UI 9 software.
The design of the Galaxy Z Flip8 is the same as the previous model, but it uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 for Galaxy in the United States and the Exynos 2600 chipset in other regions.
The display specs are also the same as the Galaxy Z Flip7. This new foldable phone features a 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with Full-HD+ resolution and 120Hz refresh rate on the inside. On the outside, it has a 4.1-inch AMOLED display that supports up to 120Hz refresh rate.
For photography, it is equipped with a 50MP main rear camera with OIS and a 12MP ultrawide camera. For selfies, there is a 10MP camera on the inside display.
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 has a 4,300mAh battery like last year, and supports 25W wired charging and 15W wireless charging. On the software side, it runs One UI 9 based on Android 17 and has an IP48 rating that provides protection against water intrusion.
The phone is available in Cream, Graphite, and Pink color options with 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB versions. The Mint color option will be available exclusively on Samsung's online store. The price starts from $1,199.
