Tecno has introduced the Pova 8 and followed up a month later with the Tecno Pova 8 Pro. The phone features a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chip, up to 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage, along with a dedicated P1 graphics chip for gaming. The display is a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen supporting 144Hz refresh rate and up to 4500 nits brightness. It runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16 and includes the AI assistant Ella.
The design features a triangular camera module and a Starship design with a customizable Mini LED dot-matrix display. The camera setup includes a 50MP LYTIA 700C main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 13MP front-facing camera. The battery capacity is 6500mAh with 45W charging, bypass charging, and 10W reverse charging support. The device also offers IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K water and dust resistance ratings.
The phone is available in white, black, and green color options with configurations of 8GB+256GB, 12GB+256GB, and 12GB+512GB. A special Tonino Lamborghini edition is also introduced exclusively in black, differing only in design from the standard model. Pricing has not been announced yet.
