China's Peking city has started constructing the country's first AI-assisted cancer vaccine production facility, bringing new hope to millions of cancer patients.
The project is being carried out by Likang Life Sciences, and is expected to be completed by next October.
The drug research and production center has attracted massive investment of approximately 1.1 billion yuan (approximately $16.1 million USD).
The distinctive feature of the factory is that it will include cell therapy research laboratories as well as a production line for LK101, the company's main product, a cancer vaccine.
The vaccine will analyze each patient's cancer cell DNA and accurately identify the genetic mutations that cause disease.
What's remarkable is that by using AI technology, the entire process that previously took a long time can now be completed within a single day.
This project also demonstrates a major global transformation in the application of AI technology in the pharmaceutical sector.
According to Bank of America's estimates, the global AI healthcare market could skyrocket to over $1 trillion by 2035.
Since cancer is the second leading cause of death in China, such AI-powered technology to fight cancer will become a source of genuine hope for patients.
