After the passing of renowned Thai travel blogger Bowornthat Pengsuk (known as Hlun Solo), important questions have emerged regarding how creators' digital assets, intellectual property rights, and platform-derived revenues should be managed.

To inherit revenues from a YouTube account, officially certified documents such as a death certificate, identity card, or driver's license and death certificate are required. Once verification is obtained, the revenues will be transferred to a newly designated bank account.
🛑Inheritance Rights and Platform Terms and Conditions
According to legal experts, a creator's intellectual property rights and revenue entitlements will pass to their heirs according to applicable laws. However, to exercise those rights, each platform's specified terms and conditions as well as verification procedures must be strictly followed.
🛑Intellectual Property Rights and Inheritance
Under Thailand's intellectual property law, YouTube videos are audiovisual creative works and therefore receive copyright protection for up to 50 years from the time of initial publication. Copyright, like other assets, can be transferred, sold, and inherited.
🛑Legally Entitled Heirs
If there is no will, legally entitled heirs (children, parents, siblings, and spouse) will inherit according to law.
🛑Management
Heirs must apply to the court as an estate administrator in order to obtain legal authority to manage the deceased's YouTube account and revenues.
