This was Russia's first robot wedding ceremony, and it was held on Russia's Family, Love and Fidelity Day as a commemoration.
At the event, the robot couple exchanged pre-programmed wedding vows and exchanged commemorative rings delivered by a robot dog named Dogmatik. Additionally, they demonstrated synchronized movements, which generated significant interest on media and social networks. The organizers stated that the event was not an official marriage and did not demonstrate that the robots have feelings.
The event was organized to showcase advances in humanoid robot technology and to enable public discussion on how home robots could assist people in their daily lives in the future.
