These AI smart glasses can help visually impaired users by reading text, describing their surroundings, and sending messages. Connected to the Be My Eyes network, users can easily reach volunteers and get assistance with daily tasks.
However, Meta has faced significant criticism regarding these glasses because they feature LED recording indicators that can be turned off, allowing recording without others' knowledge or consent. Additionally, evidence was recently discovered that Meta is attempting to integrate facial recognition technology into the Meta AI app, raising further privacy concerns.
