Cleve Hill Solar Park, Britain's largest solar power generation facility, has now begun producing electricity.
Located in Kent, England, the major project is equipped with over 550,000 solar panels. The generated power output of 373 MW is sufficient to supply electricity to over 120,000 homes in Britain.
The large solar facility, which began commercial operations on July 1, 2025, can deliver 373 MW of power to the national electricity grid.
What's particularly noteworthy is that the project also includes a large-scale battery storage system with a capacity of 150 MW and storage capability of up to 300 MWh.
Currently, the battery system is not yet operating at full capacity, with plans to commence initial operations in the latter half of 2026.
Owned by Quinbrook Infrastructure Partners, the facility spans nearly 900 acres and includes dedicated spaces specifically allocated for wildlife conservation and environmental protection.
Approved in 2020 and construction began in 2023, the project has now successfully established itself while generating clean energy and harmoniously coexisting with the natural environment.
