On Monday last week (June 15), as the New York stock market closed, the combined wealth of the world's 500 richest people increased by up to $336 billion in a single day, marking the highest single-day wealth gain on record.

According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the total wealth of these billionaires reached a record-breaking $13.3 trillion.

The rise in stock markets was also partly due to a provisional agreement reached between the United States and Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.

The primary driver of this surge in wealth was SpaceX, a company that entered the stock market as a publicly listed corporation last week.

The company's market value surged by up to 20 percent, bringing its total valuation to over $2 trillion. Consequently, Elon Musk, the world's first trillionaire, saw his wealth increase by $164 billion (over 10 percent) in a single day, bringing his total net worth to $1.27 trillion, making him vastly wealthier than others.

This situation not only widens the wealth gap between the global elite and ordinary people, but also demonstrates that disparities are increasing even among the extremely wealthy billionaires themselves.

Currently, the top 50 richest individuals hold $6.5 trillion in combined wealth, and according to indices, this amount is nearly equivalent to the combined wealth of approximately $6.8 trillion held by the bottom 450 people on the list.
